As we learned earlier, the love of self leads to many of the cruelest evils. Self - justification arises from self - preservation. The con must justify his or her crime, it is critical for self - preservation.

Much to the benefit of the con or criminal class  who self - justifies, there is an eager army of behavioral psychologists clamoring to assist them in shifting the blame to someone or something else. Psychology has never met a criminal they would not defend. Will they be so defensive of Christians when the time comes?

The con is the height of selfish ego. These selfish, self - loving egos are fear based. Their number one M.O. is self - preservation. Instead of faith in God for their needs, they have fear of the world and life. As a result they procure for themselves and they can never get enough. Fear tells them they need more to be a valuable person and ward off their greatest enemy - Fear.

For them this fear is a psychosis. They are capable of any evil given the right circumstances. They can and must self - justify their actions because they will not face their darkest fears.

Why, dear reader do I harp on the subject of self - love so much? Because it is overlooked as a great engine of evil. Psychology calls it good…God calls it evil. Who are we to believe?

Love of self leads to fear, and the first reason God gives for throwing people into the lake of fire is - fear. Revelation 21:8 Fear is the opposite of faith. If you love God there is no reason to fear since your faith is in Him.

A strong maternal instinct is the opposite of the above, it is not selfish nor cruel. The maternal instinct tells a man very much about you.

One last note: Ladies, you must know that the con will begin hating you from the start, but will mask it well. The more you do for him the deeper his hatred will grow. His psychosis dictates that he develop a bitter hatred for you the victim. He cannot be the bad guy, it must be you who are bad. Most of the well known villains throughout history have considered themselves to be public benefactors. Al Capone believed he was a good upstanding citizen, and made that claim up until he died.

It is tempting to look the other way when you see the signs mounting that you are dealing with a criminal mind. You must both know and acknowledge them. No matter how desperately you may long for his affection.
